Peter Virdee’s 2022 Visit to India shows his Inclination towards Sikh Community

The last week of April, 2022 Peter Virdee pay his visit to India to join the Sikh Delegation hosted by the India’s Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi at his residence in Delhi. The Sikh Delegation meet has a pure agenda to discuss the issues of Punjab and people of Punjab without any political spin. PM Modi says that the Sikh community has become a strong link in India's relations with other countries.
As we all know Peter Virdee is famous for his philanthropy works and definitely has soft spot for Sikh community in his heart. Last year in the middle of the COVID breakdown he helped several people of Punjab by distributing 500 clinical grade 10L Oxygen Concentrators all across Punjab for the makeshift hospitals treating Covid-19 patients.
His visit to India from all the way to the UK and join the Sikh Delegation addresses by PM Modi definitely shows his inclination towards Punjab and people of Punjab. Being an NRI he talked about many things an NRI faces in his own country still he wants development and progress of Punjab and Sikh Community.
"I was shocked by the amount of contribution that PM Modi has done for the Sikhs. We are very grateful. 1984 is a very sensitive issue for the NRI Sikhs.PM Modi provided justice after 30 years for the families. It is an honor to be here" Peter Virdee says.
Peter Virdee’s India visit proves to be fruitful. He also pays visit to meet CM of Punjab, Shree Bhagwant Singh Maan. And he is very enthused after meeting with CM and seeing his development roadmap for Punjab and Sikhs.
“I am very happy to see the vision of Maan Sahab (the CM Of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Maan) towards the development of Punjab. His vision, his knowledge and his understanding of Punjab is really good” says Peter Virdee.
They talked on Punjab's prosperity and the current situation of NRIs in the state. Mr. Peter is concerned about Punjab's development, and he recommended the province's Chief minister to choose some of the best entrepreneurs to handle the province's development as a business rather than exploiting the opportunity to forward a political agenda.
After meeting with the CM of Punjab Bhagwant Maan, he visited the destitute of Amritsar All Indian Pingalwara organization. It is a shelter home for sick and homeless people. He often hears about the place and also gives charity to this organization but has never visited it before. "I frequently hear about this facility and have donated numerous times," Mr. Virdee continues, "but I never have time to travel by and visit the site myself."
Mr. Peter Virdee also encouraged his fellow NRIs to come here at least once in their lives. "I appeal that my friends and other NRIs come here and support their cause," he says. Seeing these folks assisting children and mothers is quite valuable. This is a must-see attraction in Punjab. If you're donating money to the Gurudwara and impoverished people, you should also consider donating to this organization."

Before getting back to the UK, Mr. Peter Virdee received felicitation by the World Punjabi Organization in Delhi at a Diner reception. This felicitation is for the philanthropy work of Mr. Virdee towards the Sikh Community and the state of Punjab. Distributing oxygen cylinder in the region of Punjab amidst COVID breakdown, or the World Cancer Care Camp in three major districts of Punjab. He also helped people residing in UK where his foundation collaborated with Midland langar Sewa & Society, and Emile Heskey to provide hot meals and beverages to the poor in the United Kingdom. Mr. Peter Virdee also contributed to renovating the Central Gurudwara of London.
As now we can say his visit to India this time is really fruitful, he meets with Prime Minister of India then visited the CM Of Punjab and talk about the progress and regeneration of Punjab and the people. He also gets the chance to visit Pingalwara, a place for homeless sick people that leave him with teary eyes. And at the end, Peter Virdee is felicitated by the World Punjabi Organization for his great works of charity.
